Medicom Sweeney Todd

I loved Sweeney Todd. Not because I felt good after the movie - it's a tragedy from the start till the end, but because the songs and theatrics were grade A entertainment. I can point out the one about turning people into pies that's to me worth the price of admission. :P

Mr Todd is an interesting character, so I had high hopes for the figure. Medicom once again chose to use their short[er] RAH body - so he's dwarfed by Hot Toys' Jack Sparrow which is a shame (use taller bodies already Medicom!). The clothes are decent - he's got three layers of clothing on with hardly any puffiness, and his only "accessories" are an extra grasping hand, and two razors - one opened and one folded.

While the headsculpt isn't nearly 100% accurate - I think the cheekbones need slightly more definition, it's probably an improvement on Medicom's part. I'm spoiled by Hot Toys' sophisticated painting jobs (who isn't?), so it's easy for anything else to pale in comparison. Still, it's decent enough. Collectors don't really want to complain when they've shelled out big bucks for a fig - they want reasons to love it. I'll just pretend I do. XD

*Alright, I love my Sweeney Todd fig. I'm just afraid he'll break my heart like Peter did. (See previous post)

I admit the likeness isn't great, but I gave the figure more wiggle room since I love the musical. Still on the fence about HT Scissorhands tho, love the character but not in love with the Amy Winehouse hairdo. Maybe he'll look better in person. :P

Lucky I didn't watch the movie. If not, may consider this piece..Heng ah!!

But you watched Dragonball Evolution leh - will you also consider Enterbay's Dragonball Evolution figures? :P

Seriously, I've always wondered why Enterbay produced a 12" Mr Bean. Many ppl enjoyed Mr Bean's crazy antics on TV, and so did I, but I find it hard to justify a pricey Mr Bean collectible like theirs. XD

Mizu, I may consider Bulma as she is the first female figure produced by Enterbay. I have bought the Enterbay Mr Bean, the sculpt is damn good and will post more pictures soon :P

I stand corrected, sorry. ^^;

One thing I wish Enterbay had done is make a cloth version of Mr Bean's teddy bear. It would be cuter and more authentic if it could flop around in his pocket, and I don't think it'll be very hard to do.

Holy cow that Mr. Bean looks real. XD XD XD Although I totally love Mr. Bean and his antics, I think I would be creeped out if he was in my collection. How much is he going for??

Over here he's going for $199.90, which actually is on the cheaper side for an Enterbay figure. My Bean's very unique, that's for sure. XD
