Review: Midnight Crossing Momoko

More pictures of my Momoko. I've named her Junko, and despite her pleasant demeanor I'm thinking about customizing her further into a female Yakuza with more tats (she had one already, to my surprise).

Used a background from my PC monitor for a change. If you know where the image is from, you totally rawk.

Momoko bodies have unconventional joints compared to Volks and Obitsu - I have this Jun Planning 'Classmate' doll which uses a similar joint to Momoko, and one of the hands snapped off at the wrist joint with very little handling. Momoko dolls remind me of that fragility and I'm cautious about posing them.

They've got an appealing headsculpt though and I'd love to buy them loose for customizing. :)

bro, you know nuts about Momoko...

i almost got this figure, but never ordered it due to the limited articulation on the Momoko bodies...i liked the jacket on this one, but from your pictures, it looks quite wrinkled...

I hear you about the limited articulation neoconvoy. And her hands aren't replaceable for gripping hands or what not.

The best part about Momoko are the clothes. I buy them loose more often than collect the entire doll. She's got a skinny frame though so they won't fit on Cy Girls or any body with a large bust or thighs.

Go for it guys! The more the merrier. ;D

Jun Planning bodies often come with defects right out of the box. They really could improve their bodies and their quality. Momoko bodies are not the same at all, much more sturdy and better quality. Even though they have limited articulations I love how they pose and their face and silhouette (and clothes of course).

Thanks for dropping by from Flickr lholy-chan. I love going through your photos, you make me wish I was in Japan! :P

I agree about Momoko bodies. Now that I've had her for awhile and gotten a couple more, my appreciation for them has certainly grown. Another improvement they could add on top of better articulation would be softer hair, I reckon. It's hard to tame a Momoko doll's hair if she has large curls.
